On May 18, Bungie is holding a gameplay reveal stream for its latest and most anticipated game, Destiny 2. To further hype up its audience, Bungie released a bunch of Destiny 2 hats with featured animal designs of what appears to be of a Snake, a Raven/Space Bird and a Lion/Lynx. Three designs for the three classes in this upcoming MMO.
A New Pet System
The new setting for Destiny 2 seems like the Guardians have lost the powers of The Light and Guardians are now on a mission to regain it. However this doesn't mean that we're left in the dark (no pun intended) with no new powers to replace what we've lost.
Rumor has it that the designs on Bungie's new merchandise were actually hints at what we can expect in the new Destiny game. Namely, a pet summon system. The Snake for the Hunter class, the Lion/Lynx for the valiant Titans and the Raven/Space Bird for the mystic Warlocks.
New Sub classes
While some have speculated that the new animal designs are for a new pet system, others are adamant on believing that the new designs are hinting at new sub classes. A sub class that probably summons creatures, kind of like a summoner or beast master of sorts and of course this will also mean a new set of skills for this new sub class.
For now, all of this is speculation and we will have to wait for May 18 for any of our questions to be answered. So, mark your calendars for the 18th of May and watch out for the gameplay reveal and if you were wondering about the Bungie merchandise, it'll be made available by July 29.
Destiny 2 is set for release on September 8 for Xbox, PlayStation 4 and PC.
