How to Link Accounts

update 14/07/2017

Here's a guide to prevent players from accidentally creating a new account. Read carefully to avoid such an unnecessary mistake

Creating a Bungie Account

Create a Bungie and Blizzard account

If you don't have an account on both Blizzard and Bungie accounts then the process is quite simple.

Click on Join Up and Select which account you want to sign up with

If you are on console, select if you are either on PSN or Xbox Live. PC users will have to create a Blizzard account before you can create a Bungie account

Linking Blizzard Account to Bungie

The above method is a lot more simple for new players coming to Destiny 2 but for the rest of you Guardians coming from the first Destiny game you could accidentally create a new Bungie account should you choose to migrate to the PC version of the game.

Hover/Highlight your mouse cursor over the Sign In option and select either PSN or Xbox Live.

  • Players who are completely new to Destiny 2 for PC without any previous Destiny account on consoles may directly select Blizzard if you already have a Blizzard account.

Once you are logged in, head over to Settings -> the Accounts & Linking tab then select Link on the account/s you wish to link together.

If you select the Blizzard Option before you link your Blizzard account to your existing Bungie account, it will create a new Bungie account instead of automatically linking it to your existing one. Having multiple accounts may seem advantageous for some but if you don't like the additional accounts the process above should keep that from happening.
