In a recent blog post Bungie set some guidelines to follow for players who wish to participate in the Beta test.
Aside from making sure you've got your sodas and chips lined up to keep you going, Bungie reminds players that the Beta test is still a test version of the game and that bugs and connectivity issues may occur.
PROVIDING FEEDBACK
The coming Beta test is all about providing feedback. May it be searching for bugs, testing out overpowered builds or skills; basically its everything. So if you encounter connectivity issues, try to keep calm and test on. You can definitely try to contact their customer and technical support but expect them to be all hands on deck since you won't be the only one experiencing issues and may take time to send you back a reply. Besides, gamers are a friendly-folk; always willing to help each other out. So, the best way to get around your problem quickly is to use the power of the internet. Ask around and search for forums that may have already found a solution or temporary fix to the issue.
